I am an alt-photographer currently working in gum bichromate, a fusion of watercolor and photography. I am in love with its sensual, tactile, glossy and tangible nature. Each print is no less than four layers of printing in gum or cyanotype, with endless variation and room for self-expression. No two prints are alike.

 

In 2010, I had the honor to visit the Yucatan Peninsula and came across Izamal, the “Yellow City,” so named for its ubiquitous yellow paint. It is an ancient Mayan town with strong Spanish colonial roots as well.
